Welcome to Praxis Educators.

This is a social community for educators who are inspired and enthusiastic about using some form of Freirean education in their community, whether that is a traditional school, an adult education environment or even a community organisation!

I'm the creator of this community - I've been a teacher and a school leader in both England and Australia, in both formal and informal educational settings. Currently, I am undertaking doctoral study in the area of citizenship education, and my interest in Freirean education or critical pedagogy is closely linked to this.

I will be posting up here lots of information about Freirean education - so I hope you take the time to contribute. I will also post some of the results of Freirean-type education that I have undertaken at my school, so I'd love to hear what you think of that, too!
